History
Daryeel Association, a Swedish non-governmental organization working in Somalia particulary Southern Mudug region and Mugadishu, with the partnership of local NGO, the Somali Society Develoment Association (SOSDA) for the rehabilitation and recovery of basic social and economic infrastractures (education, health, water, herders support, community capacity building, etc). Our work started at the beginning of 1999 and is related the need for the Somali diaspora to participate together the local communities the reconciliation, rehabilitation and reconstruction of the country. In 2003, we started to receive funding from Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) for education, TB clinic and Hiv/Aids project.
Daryeel is officially registered NGO in the Swedish treasury register and can work in all of the world. In addition, it has several collaborating networks in Norway, Finland, UK, USA, Kenya, and Somalia.
